This little guy doesn’t look like much, but he can come in handy. With a variable speed adjustment knob, you can do some very detailed work with it.

Specifications:

  • Wood Only

  • Variable Speed

  • Blade Size: 4” x 12”

Use & Safety Checklist:

  1. Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating. Ensure that loose clothing, jewelry, and long hair are secured.

  2. Turn on Dust Collection System or connect to shop vac.

  3. Verify blade is installed correctly. Do not cut steel or other hard metals with this saw. Ask for assistance for changing the blade. Tensioning is on the back of the machine if blade seems loose. Variable speed knob is on the front. Higher speeds work well for finely detailed wood.

  4. Verify there is nothing in the way blocking your cut. Verify band saw is on a stable, level surface before cutting. Keep the area clear of debris when cutting.

  5. Line up your cut. Verify it’s secure and against the fence. Verify you can hold your piece without putting your hands in the blade zone. Only cut one piece at a time. Do not cut pieces smaller than 6” long. Do not cut through wood knots, splits, or other defects.

  6. Allow motor to reach full speed before cutting. Do not force the cut, as this can lead to blade deflection and potential kickback.

  7. Cut slowly and smoothly, keeping your hands and sleeves away from blade at all times.

  8. Wait for the saw to stop moving completely before removing material.
